DeepMeta - Auto Submit
A new feature allowing you to schedule automatic batch submissions. Set an auto submit date and DeepMeta will keep your batch alive and submit it on the specified date.
We're excited to introduce Auto Submit, a new DeepMeta feature that lets you schedule batch submissions in advance. Set a date and DeepMeta takes care of the rest — keeping your batch alive and submitting it automatically when the time comes.
The Challenge
Getty Images automatically closes batches that have been inactive for a period of time (typically 3 months). This can be frustrating when you're still preparing assets or waiting for the right moment to submit. If you're preparing seasonal content like a Christmas or Easter themed shoot, you'll want a workflow where you can already upload the batch, set a submission date and forget about it. Until now, you had to manually keep batches alive by interacting with them before the auto-close deadline.
How It Works
With Auto Submit, you can assign a scheduled submission date to any batch. Once set, DeepMeta will:
- Keep the batch alive — DeepMeta periodically refreshes the batch to prevent Getty's auto-close mechanism from closing it prematurely.
- Submit on the scheduled date — When the auto submit date arrives, DeepMeta automatically submits the batch for review.
This means you can prepare your assets at your own pace, set the submission date, and move on to other work without worrying about the batch being closed.
Setting an Auto Submit Date
To set an auto submit date on a batch:
- Open the View or Edit panel for the batch you want to schedule, or create a new one. You can open this panel by clicking the corresponding icons ( ) at the right side of the batch list item.
- Tick the Auto-submit option in the batch settings. The detail panel will appear.
- Pick your desired submission date and time using the date picker. The time shown is the user's local time.
- Confirm your selection.
Once saved, the batch list item will display the scheduled date so you always know when it's set to go out.

Modifying or Cancelling
You can change the auto submit date at any time, or cancel it entirely if you decide to submit manually instead. Simply revisit the batch settings and update the scheduled date or untick the Auto-submit box.

To get a quick overview of which batches are scheduled for Auto Submit: use the corresponding sort option:
Things to Keep in Mind
- Make sure all your assets in the batch are ready before the auto submit date. DeepMeta will submit the batch as-is on the scheduled date.
- It's OK if the batch already contains submitted uploads. Auto Submit will simply submit the remaining ones.
- Any uploads that are in the "Revisable" state are skipped by Auto Submit.
- The submission happens on the specified date — the exact time may vary slightly (+/- 1 hour) depending on server processing.
