DeepMeta - Briefs

We're pleased to announce our latest DeepMeta 4 feature: Briefs. Browse the latest Creative and Custom Content briefs from Getty Images

The Briefs section shows all currently open Creative and Custom Content Briefs from Getty Images.

We've added filters to make the discovery and selection of briefs for your next shoot as efficient and comfortable as possible.

Brief list

The Brief list is the main view of this section. All currently open Getty Images briefs are shown in a list;

Briefs - List

There are typically hundreds of Briefs, so using the filter tools at the top of the page is essential to finding briefs of your interest. We explain them in detail further down this article.

Brief Detail

Clicking one of the Brief panels in the list, opens the Brief Detail Panel at the right:

Briefs - Detail

All details of the Brief are listed in long format. At the bottom is a link to the corresponding page for the Brief at the Getty ESP site.

'Viewed' status, Liking and Deleting

All Briefs you have already opened in the detail panel once, are marked with a "Viewed" label overlayed on the bottom left of the thumbnail.

Note the two icons at the top of the section:

  • : A toggle button allowing you to delete the Brief from the list. Don't worry, they won't be deleted on the Getty server though ;)
  • : A toggle button allowing you to like the Brief.

You can use the "Likes" filter at the top of the page to show or hide Deleted and (un-)Liked briefs.

Synchronization

At the moment, the "Like" status is not synchronized with the Getty ESP "My list" functionality. We know some users requested this, but we first want to gather feedback on the current "Delete/Like" states in DeepMeta, and whether additional states might be needed, like bookmarking. We'll follow up on this at a later stage!

Participating

For Briefs to which you're already participating (i.e. for which you have one or more batches with corresponding brief/event ID) are marked with an orange label overlay at the bottom left of the thumbnail, showing the number of batches.

On the Brief Detail Page, you will then see links that take you to the corresponding batch(es). See the Your Batches section at the right-hand side:

Filtering

As with most other sections in DeepMeta 4, the top of the list is reserved for a toolbar with filter options. For the Briefs section, the filters are divided into three groups: Asset Type, Model requirements and Likes.

Note that you can select multiple buttons at the same time. If none of the buttons of a group are selected, the resulting Brief list will be empty.

Filter by Asset Type

Briefs - Filter by Asset type

The filter options are:

  • Creative: Creative Briefs are shown in the list
  • CC: Custom Content Briefs are shown in the list

Filter by Model Requirements

Briefs - Filter by Model Requirement

The filter options are:

  • XNo model: The Brief does not require the use of models
  • ?Model Optional: The shoot can be with or without models
  • Model Required: Use of one or more models is required for this brief

Make sure to read the Brief details for further instructions regarding model use and ethnicity.

Filter by Deleted / Liked

Briefs - Filter by Likes

To make brief evaluation and selection efficient, DeepMeta allows you to Delete and Like briefs. See the 'Viewed' status, Liking and Deleting section above for details. Use the Likes filter to show or hide briefs accordingly

The filter options are:

  • Deleted: When selected, briefs you have deleted (by activating the icon on a brief) will be shown in the list. You will normally turn off this button, so that 'deleted' briefs indeed appear as hidden. If you deleted briefs by accident or want to give deleted briefs a second look, turn on this button to view them.
  • Unliked: When selected, briefs that you have not (yet) liked will be shown in the list. Initially, all new briefs are in this state.
  • Liked: When selected, briefs you have liked will be shown in the list.

Feedback

This is a brand-new feature and we hope to improve it in the future. As always, your feedback is warmly appreciated. You can contact us with your suggestions and bug reports.
